Under the supervision of the Senior Systems Operators, will operate, maintain, troubleshoot and repair large scale Life Support and HVAC systems.

Functions & Responsibilities

Essential Functions

Shares responsibility with Systems Operators to monitor and operate complex integrated life support systems, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year;
Adaptable to change in a fast-paced work environment;
Has the ability to prioritize work while multi-tasking;
Maintains a positive attitude and solid work ethic.

Other Duties & Responsibilities

Be a member of an aquarium wide team whose mission is to inspire conservation of the ocean;
Ability and willingness to learn through on the job training;
Provides excellent customer service.

Skills & Experience

Knowledge & Skills

Familiar with industrial level equipment operation and maintenance;
Ability to perform individually and as part of a team.

Education & Experience

Previous aquarium systems operator or aquarium operational experience or other related water systems operation/ industrial maintenance experience;
Familiar with OSHA safety guidelines;
Basic experience with PVC plumbing and electrical design, assembly and maintenance;
Solid troubleshooting skills on mechanical / electro-mechanical systems.
